Dalbello Ski Boots
The first pair of Dalbello ski boots was made in 1974 in Casella d'Asolo Italy. The company was founded by Alessandro and Giovanna Dal Bello who previously worked in the Henke ski boot factory located in Switzerland.
When they came back to Italy, they continued their work with Henke by providing them with leather ski boot uppers. But Alessandro and Giovanna Dal Bello knew that they could do better than that and they decided to form their own company - they sold the first Dalbello ski boots in Austria in 1974.
Dalbello is now one of the biggest manufacturers of ski boots in the world, but it is the only ski boot producer to be owned by one family - it remains in the ownership of its original founders - the Dal Bello family.
Dalbello offers a great variety of ski boots. It's helpful to know that ski boots are made so that they are tailored to a different skier profile and foot shapes. Let's look at some of Dalbello ski boots series:
Scorpion Series
The Scorpion Series boots are most suitable for expert and advanced skiers. They provide you with maximum control and performance, so that you can enjoy an unforgettable ski experience. In principle, ski boots made for expert skiers are very stiff and can sacrifice some comfort for performance.
This is not the case with Dalbello Scorpion series - they feature the innovative contour 4 fit system that guarantees you great comfort and at the same time, optimal performance and control. The Austrian ski legend Christian Mayer is involved in the development of these ski boots.
Krypton Series
The Dalbello Krypton Series ski boots are the choice of many exceptional skiers like the champion of X Games, Tanner Hall, Glen Plake and Brad Holmes. All the Krypton models are also equipped with the contour 4 fit system and 3 piece Cabrio design which provides great control with smooth flexibility. Most of the Krypton ski boots are made for free style ride.
Viper Series
Dalbello Viper Series ski boots are designed for different snow conditions and offer great performance on all terrains. They also have the contour 4 fit system for better comfort and precision. The Viper Series ski boots are ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers.
Aerro Series
Aerro Series ski boots are characterized by great comfort and warmth. Dalbello Aerro ski boots are the perfect choice for recreational and all-round skiers.
Axion Series
Axion ski boots are a great combination of performance and comfort. They are engineered for intermediate and advanced skiers and borrow some key features from the Krypton series like the Cabrio design, but they are wider than them. They provide great personalization of your ski experience like flexibility control, heel height and canting.
Virus Series
Dalbello Virus ski boots are specially designed for people who love to ski in deep snow and love alpine touring. The Virus series ski boots are developed under the guidance of Glen Plake and have been tested in the Alps, Andes, Alaska, Sierras and Himalayas.
If you don't know Glen Plake, he is the one of the first skiers to practice extreme skiing in America. The Virus Series ski boots feature great control and power, but also are very comfortable for walking/touring.
As you can see, Dalbello ski boots comes in very different models. Which one is yours depends on your skier profile and which one you find comfortable.
